To do this, connect a different, functioning electrical appliance to the socket. With operation over the vehicle-adapter: · Check to see if the vehicle-adapter ² is correctly connected to the Rapid Battery Charger and the cigar-lighter socket. · It is possible that the cigar-lighter only functions with a switched-on vehicle ignition. If you are unsure, consult the vehicle handbook. - 22 - The inserted batteries are not being charged: · Check that the batteries are being inserted in accord with their polarity. · Check to see if you have inserted batteries suitable for charging into the Rapid Battery Charger. Exclusively suitable for recharging are Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries with the sizes AA/Mignon and AAA/Micro and designated as suitable for rapid charging.
